Verdy and Nike SB are bringing another collaboration to market in 2024: an SB Dunk Low inspired by the artist and designer’s famed Vick character. The release — news of which arrives shortly after a first look at a Visty-inspired SB Dunk Low — is set to go down as part of Nike SB’s summer line, and early images recently hit the Internet via IG sneaker leaker @fuelkicks.
There’s not much that can be gleaned from the image above, other than the shoe seems to feature white as a base tone and boasts black co-branded detailing on its tongue. However, Sneaker Files reports that the “Vick” will boast a full white and black color scheme to match its character’s signature hues, and also include faux fur detailing (a la the aforementioned Visty pair) alongside suede and leather embellishments. As is par for the course for Verdy’s work with the skate-focused Nike sub-label, the release will also feature special packaging and extra laces.
Besides his duo of forthcoming SB Dunk Lows, Verdy also worked with Nike SB on a Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low in 2021 and a Girls Don’t Cry x Nike SB Dunk Low in 2019. However, the Vick and Visty iterations will be the first to spotlight his signature characters instead of his clothing labels.
Expect the Verdy x Nike SB Dunk Low “Vick” to arrive sometime this summer with a MSRP of $135 USD, and keep it locked for updates on an exact date of release as they’re made available.
