Since the late Kobe Bryant’s collaborative Nike Kobe line officially made its return last year, three silhouettes have been central to Nike Basketball’s reintroduction campaign: the Nike Kobe 4, 6 and 8 Protro. Looking closer at the Kobe 8 Protro, it most recently released in a “Mambacita” colorway and has seen a myriad of new looks teased as well. Adding to the list, we now have a first look at a “Grey/Black” iteration of the court-ready sneaker.

Kicking off the new pair, its upper begins with a soft “Grey” that reaches from the toe to the heel. Layers of black rest atop it at the shoe’s Swooshes on each side, the Nike Kobe logos at the tongue and heel, as well as Bryant’s signature detail that sits at the lateral heel. From there, various greys are scattered throughout the sole unit to support the sneaker.

At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not shared when this “Grey/Black” colorway of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates, including an official visual breakdown of this pair, as we currently expect the sneaker to land on shelves later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $190 USD.
