Nike is honoring its athletic foundation with the Air Force 1 Low “1972.”
The upcoming sneaker is named after the year Nike unveiled its first footwear line, which included the Moon Shoe and Cortez. White and off-white hues make up the leather base and overlays, while the blue, red and white color scheme of Blue Ribbon Sports — Nike’s founding name — lands on the rare jersey mesh panel swooshes, tongue tags, embroidered Nike Air heel logos and insoles, with additional Nike 1972 branding just below the ankle. The shoe rests on a white midsole and off-white outsole, while white laces tie the sporty model together for a clean finish.
