Singapore’s own SBTG and Limited Edt are back at it again with a new collaborative footwear capsule with ASICS. This time around, the trio are expanding their long-running “Monsoon Patrol” series by bringing the theme to the GEL-KAYANO 14. Previous projects involved the GEL-LYTE III and dated back to the late ’10s while this take on the GEL-KAYANO 14 arrives just after other projects involving the silhouette such as Lapstone & Hammer’s dip dyed pairs.

Appearing in monochromatic colorways of “Cream” and “Black,” military-inspired motifs cover each look as it comes equipped with a special detachable shroud system at the tongue. The shroud notably features tonal “MONSOON PATROL” text and has a functional pouch that is sealed by a zipper. Its lateral heel has a label system that is also inspired by military designs and has been stenciled onto the shoe. Elsewhere, a translucent coating and glossy midsole give both versions of the sneaker a unique shine.

For those interested in picking up either pair of SBTG x Limited Edt x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14s, both the “Cream” and “Black” iterations are available now via SBTG at a price of $222 USD each. On top of this, the collaboration is expected to drop again on June 16 via ASICS and select retailers, possibly as an exclusive to Asia.
