Abstract artist Callen Schaub is known for his colorful paintings. Now, he’s bringing his vision to reimagine two classic Saucony sneakers, the Shadow 6000 and the Progrid Omni 9.

A retro-inspired dual lifestyle and running shoe, the Shadow 6000 is essentially synonymous with the Saucony brand for its mesh and suede design and three-dot wave design. Schaub brought his vibrant color palette to give the Shadow 6000 some added flair. While the base of the shoe is a muted gray, blue, red and purple appear throughout the side body, along with in the heel tab and tongue.

For the Progrid Omni 9, which draws from the running shoes of the early aughts, Schaub took an even more abstract approach, covering the shoe in a pink and blue watercolor-style print, juxtaposed with a white and black toe guard and laces. In fact, for both shoes, the artist painted the designs on canvas first before translating them to the actual shoes.

“Callen Schaub’s approach to art extends beyond the canvas; his performances are an integral part of his artistic expression,” Saucony EMEA GM VP Cameron Black said. “We are excited to partner with an artist whose creativity transcends traditional boundaries and resonates with audiences worldwide.”
