In commemoration of the Dallas Mavericks making it to the NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving is presenting his ANTA KAI 1 in an appropriate new hue. Dubbed the “Playoffs Energy” colorway, the sneaker arrives as an ode to Irving’s stealth and speed, now surfacing in bright yellow  – the quickest color for the human eye to recognize.

Tapping into Irving’s “Enlightened Warrior ethos,” the new iteration of the player’s signature shoe encapsulates a cohesive narrative storyline, also drawing inspiration from Irving’s Native American heritage.

“Playoffs Energy” melds performance and heritage, also embracing the concept of “Using the Code” through its hieroglyphic-inspired detailing throughout the silhouette’s upper.

Equipped with subtle, intentional detailing, the sneaker is also stamped with a shield on the vamp.

“It’s such an honor to continue creating a product that holds us all to a higher standard while celebrating such a historical journey thus far,” added ANTA’s color design director Shaneika Warden. “It’s important that we continue to deliver premium products with soul, passion, and purpose.”

While sold out on ANTA’s website now, the sneakers retail for an MSRP of $125 USD.
