Philadelphia’s own Lapstone & Hammer has reunited with ASICS to present four dip dyed colorways of the GEL-KAYANO 14.

The duo connected earlier this year for dip dyed pairs of the GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 in “Indigo” and have now expanded their dyes to include “Coffee,” “Matcha” and “Ube” looks as well. These new dyes draw inspiration from the daily routines of people from around the world, with the caffeinated beverages serving as the starting points of each pair. On top of this, the OG “Indigo” treatment has returned, this time outfitting the GEL-KAYANO 14, which is noted as the label’s favorite ASICS SportStyle model.

Crafted in men’s and women’s size runs, the former arrive with darker finishes — combining a highly-saturated suede with a lightly-colored mesh. As for the women’s pairs, a lighter suede joins mesh that absorbed more dye, leaning into a more monochromatic finish. Given the special process applied to each pair, no two shoes are exactly the same.

Pairs of Lapstone & Hammer’s ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14s will be made available at the brand’s store in Philadelphia starting at 10am EDT on May 18. From there, any remaining pairs will release at 12pm EDT on the brand’s website at a price of $200 USD each.
