Reebok and Los Angeles-based label HYMNE have teamed up for their inaugural collaboration, spotlighting two refreshing reimaginings of the Club C and Classic Nylon silhouettes. For this release, HYMNE’s designer and creative director, Jide Osifeso have brought his signature aesthetic of utilitarian and minimalist, contemporary codes to Reebok’s highly-recognizable sneakers.

Arriving in a tonal build, the Club C sneaker boasts an allover off-white hue from upper, lace to sole. On the lateral side’s window where the Reebok logo usually resides, all forms of branding have been omitted to create a clean and stripped-back look. A suede strip adorns the toe cap area, breaking up the leather upper and rubber outsole with added textural contrast.

The Classic Nylon boasts a taupe makeover that’s imbued with off-white and black accents. Suede and mesh make up the upper, while a sock-line finish brings a slender touch to the chunky silhouette. The platform-like soles come in an exaggerated shape but arrive in a tonal hue to blend with the upper.

What truly sets these iterations apart from the classics is the integration of embossed triangular and trapezoidal rubber accents on the tongue, toebox and heel counter. These additions protrude from the shoes, adding a sculptural touch to the silhouettes.

Launching May 28, both sneakers will be available to shop via HYMNE’s official online store. In the meantime, take a closer look at models in the gallery above.
