LA-based Goods & Services has established a devoted following for its artful resoles and custom reimagining of all types of footwear — if you can dream it, they can do it, from a visvim FBT with a Vibram sole to a bolstered iteration of the Birkenstock Boston or even a custom-rebuilt Air Jordan 4. There’s even a pretty strong case to be made that Goods & Serices’ work directly inspired the recent CLOT x adidas Superstar.

Now, Goods & Services is bringing its craft-focused design mindset to its first widely available original silhouette: a hybrid mule made in downtown Los Angeles. The design features a tan suede upper with a luxurious leather lining, a natural vegetable-tanned leather strap, tumbled natural leather footbed with a debossed logo hit and even a detachable tongue.

Down below, Goods & Services’ mule sits atop a Vibram Sphike outsole that adds a dash of technicality both literally and figuratively. Originally made for trail running, the Sphike is both lightweight and supportive, with an aggressive traction pattern that ensures grip in any climate. The mule is also fully reparable, resoleable and customizable, enabling buyers to bring it to Goods & Services to have a personal touch applied if they so choose.

Look for the Goods & Services mule to release on the brand’s webstore come May 4, with an MSRP of $280 USD.
