Japanese artist Verdy has made a name for himself worldwide with his playful visual design language, utilizing projects such as Girls Don’t Cry to bring his work to the masses. Kicking off the brand’s year, it has teamed up with Dr. Martens for the first time — reworking the Ramsey Creeper. The archival silhouette was last spotted during Supreme’s FW23 collaboration with Dr. Martens and is noted as a personal favorite of Verdy’s wife, who previously worked for the brand.

Initially created as a gift for his wife, the Girls Don’t Cry x Dr. Martens Ramsey Creeper combines premium leather panels with a hair-covered toe. It also utilizes D-rings at the shoe’s eyelets while Girls Don’t Cry branding has been debossed at the lateral heel and appears courtesy of a heart-shaped charm in gold that serves as a dubrae. Iconic Dr. Martens elements such as yellow contrast stitching at the midsole and Airwair branding at the heel tab are accompanied by a smoke wedge platform sole to complete the pair.

Dr. Martens’ Ramsey Creeper returns courtesy of Girls Don’t Cry on February 28 at 10pm EST via Girls Don’t Cry, as well as on March 1 via Dr. Martens and select retailers such as Dover Street Market.
