Both Futura and Salehe Bembury are poised to have major years in the streetwear space, and are now teaming up to take on Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Clog. For Futura, he has a new Nike SB Dunk Low on the way, as well as another rumored collaboration with Supreme. Meanwhile, Bembury is gearing up for the launch of his first sneaker with Crocs — the Crocs Pollex Juniper — and looks to have a project with Louis Vuitton on the way. Before any of those designs are set to release, Futura is set to be the first artist featured in Bembury’s new Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job (AFTUGJ) series.

The new program sees the work of select artists adorn the Crocs Pollex Clog, creating a conversation around art that will “create a moment within fine art that both educates a new consumer and continues the discourse for an existing one.” Each limited-edition creation will serve as an opportunity to own a design from greats such as Futura, with even the thematic tissue paper being a piece of artwork itself.

Kicking things off with Futura, the American graffiti artist has adorned the slip-on with a galaxy-esque fusion of blue and green hues, with his atom motif — the same one that was the subject of a legal case between him and The North Face — spread throughout. While the typical co-branding between Bembury and Crocs is visible at the heel, the strap carries a “FUTURA LABORATORIES” hit on each side.

Limited to a mere 1,000 pairs, the Futura x Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog is set to arrive as the first entry in the new AFTUGJ series on February 15 at 12pm EST via BeASpunge at a price of $95 USD.
