It’s not everyday that a new Air Max arrives with the same appeal as the most famous models from the past. Nike struck a chord with the Air Max Dn. Launched this past March, the shoe already has a rolodex of different color options, from a “Coconut Milk” and an “All Day” iteration to a collaboration with Clint419 and Supreme.
The latest look keeps things relatively minimal, as the Swoosh outfits the upper in tonal grays that ascend up from the outsole and onto the midsole unit. The white textured upper, crafted with a mix of breathable mesh and synthetic overlays, features a subtle pattern that mimics the Air Max ’97’s iconic wave — while a punchy university red adds a striking contrast at the sole unit and branding on the heel counter and midfoot.
More than just a stylish pair of kicks, the sneaker is built with a number of technological advancements ensuring comfort with each step. The Dn in the name stands for “Dynamic Air”, which comprises of four dual-pressure tubes that offer a more seamless heel-to-toe transition. Soft, yet responsive, the shoe maintains excellent traction and firmness — not to mention a timeless look that will have you enjoying year-round use.
The Nike Air Max “Light Smoke Grey” will release in stores and online on August 17, 2024 for $160 USD.
