We’re now just under 100 days until the start of this year’s Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Despite that, many brands have already brought attention to the events to come, with Nike hosting special showcases in Paris last week. On top of the anticipation for the fierce competition is excitement brewing for Olympic-themed products. One such release is the return of the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” colorway that first dropped in celebration of the Sydney Games in 2000.
The pair, which was last spotted in 2012 for the London Games, is returning for its third release — revisiting all of the colorway’s key details. Its tumbled leather upper features a navy blue base and white overlays, combining with hints of red at the Jumpman logos situated at both the tongue and heel to complete the trifecta of colors present on the American flag. An icy-translucent sole supports the sneaker to round out this brief preview of the kicks.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not disclosed when the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” will be making its return to shelves. However, it’s currently expected to release during the Summer Olympic Games in Paris on August 3 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $200 USD. Stay tuned for updates, including an official visual breakdown of the sneaker, as we await more details from the Swoosh.
