Now in their fifth year of partnership, Feng Chen Wang and Converse continue to explore and expand on their collaborative projects. The latest offering from the two brands sees the 2-in-1 Chuck 70 silhouette in two new monochrome colorways.

Earlier in the year, Feng Chen Wang already announced two collaborative 2-in-1 Chuck 70 Converse low-tops in a distressed and gradient look. The inspiration derives from “My Half,” Wang’s SS19 collection, where the London-based designer introduced the concept of creating a new silhouette by joining two existing halves together.

Boasting a much more clean-cut look, the new shoes are differentiated with a Feng Chen Wang-imprinted velcro strap over the laces. The uppers feature cut-outs, allowing its mesh layer underneath to peek through. The double-layered rubber outsoles complete the shoes with a deconstructed touch that’s synonymous with Wang’s design language and ethos.

The “Egret” colorway is presented in a two-tone look with accents of black as expressed through the quarters, tongue and heel counter areas. Meanwhile, the “Black” variant comes in a tonal look with subtle textural contrasts.

The new 2-in-1 Chuck 70 shoes will be available officially available to shop via Converse starting May 7.
