2024 is shaping up to be a major year for Damian Lillard. The star guard is in the middle of his first season with the Milwaukee Bucks and is looking to prove any doubters wrong this season by making a deep postseason run with the Doc Rivers-led squad. Elsewhere, he and adidas are ready to finally issue a proper sequel to 2022’s adidas Dame 8.

Amidst the chaos of NBA All-Star Weekend, Lillard and the Three Stripes revealed the adidas Dame 9. The brief preview of the new court-ready sneaker highlights a slick build that fits neatly alongside the design language of the brand’s other futuristic signature shoes such as the AE1 and the Harden Vol. 8. Its upper is highlighted by a raised mudguard that hosts the Three Stripes logo at the lateral toe, as well as features three cut-outs at each side of the midfoot. A textile base is visible above the mudguard with this initial color arrangement combining a black base with a bright red at the sizable sole unit and mudguard.

At the time of writing, neither Damian Lillard nor adidas Basketball have shared any release details regarding the debut of the adidas Dame 9. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to land on shelves later this year via adidas and select retailers at a currently unknown price point.
