Looking back at the biggest sneaker releases of 2023, Nike SB and Jordan Brand’s collaborative “Pine Green” iteration of the Air Jordan 4 still stands out. Upgrading the build of the retro silhouette to suit skating, it serves as a true fusion of the two brands’ identities. However, before the teams arrived at the “Pine Green” arrangement, an all-black wear test sample was created for skaters such as Paul Rodriguez and Eric Koston to test out.
Now, the team at English Sole has obtained one of these not-for-release pairs and has offered a detailed visual breakdown of its unique build. Covered in black, this version of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 notably features suede throughout its stealthy upper. As a result, it showcases wear from skating much easier than its “Pine Green” counterpart.
