Kyrie Irving re-entered the signature shoe game earlier this month with the release of his first design with ANTA — introducing the ANTA KAI 1. Debuting in his “Artist on Court” colorway, it flew off of shelves, a fate the sneaker is likely to meet once again with the newly-revealed limited-edition “Kaiverse” pair.
Irving and ANTA created this “Kaiverse” colorway to celebrate the opening of ANTA’s Sneakerverse flagship in Beijing, and only 323 pairs are said to be dropping — a reference to his birthday of March 23 (3/23). The court-ready kicks are presented in a metallic silver that is joined by vivid accents of red, purple and orange. Special detailing has been scattered throughout, with an “SV” motif present at the midfoot strap and “Sneakerverse” hit at the heel tying it to the special drop.
For those interested in picking up a pair of this very limited “Kaiverse” iteration of the ANTA KAI 1, it is currently expected to launch exclusively via ANTA’s new Sneakerverse storefront in Beijing on March 23 at a price of ¥899 CNY (approx. $125 USD). Stay tuned for updates regarding the new silhouette, including if this colorway may touch down on shelves elsewhere in the world.
